Kenzo is a French luxury fashion brand that was founded by Japanese fashion designer Kenzo Takada in 1970. He is known for combining Asian styles with European high fashion, as he believes in celebrating diversity and differences between each culture. The innovative designer achieves this through his use of distinct patterns and vibrant colours in the designs of his clothes (T shirt), shoes, bags and fragrances.
Kenzo released their fragrance line in 1988, aiming to combine the same Asian and French elements found in their apparel designs into their perfumes. Using ingredients from eastern and western cultures, such as rare Japanese incense, Poppy, Thanaka wood and French vanilla, Kenzo’s fragrances are distinctive from other fragrances. The bottles are artistically designed to present how the scents would smell like visually. For instance, the Kenzo Flower line has a small poppy flower encased in it, capturing the attention of many. With Kenzo’s fun and creative designs, it is unsurprising that many people around the world, including in Singapore (SG), adore the brand.
