Founded in 1908, Toblerone is a confectionery brand that originated from Switzerland but is owned by an American company. The brand is well-known for its distinctive triangular prism-shaped chocolate that is made from milk chocolate, almonds, nougat and honey. By 1963, Toblerone bars were exported to more than a hundred countries.
Toblerone bars come in a variety of sizes, from a tiny version with 3 peaks to a massive version with 12 peaks. In 2008, Toblerone created a 100kg chocolate bar to celebrate its 100th anniversary. In Singapore and many other countries, Toblerone bars are often associated with mountains, as befitting of the Swiss brand. However, the actual reason being the shape of Toblerone bars remains ambiguous despite the many theories that were brought up over the years. Regardless of its background, there is no doubt that Toblerone has one of the most distinctive chocolate designs in the world. Toblerone bars are available in different flavours, from the original milk chocolate flavour to the almond and white chocolate flavour.
