The history of Chateau Beaumont, a winemaker brand, dates back the late 17th century. The vineyard was cleared and prepared for growing vines where it was developed in 1824 and saw a succession of owners. A Renaissance mansard style castle was built thirty years later, and it still stands today. The Chateau Beaumont vineyard is planted with a blend typically consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Farmed using Terra Vitis and Integrated Farming techniques, the sustainable and environmentally friendly management of the vineyards resulted in a reduction in chemical use.
Chateau Beaumont is known for its elegant wines with a silky texture and displays its strength of character through an exquisite bouquet of cassis, raspberry and spice. The wines are matured for 12 to 14 months in oak barrels before bottling, of which one third are renewed every year.
