Cockburn’s Port is considered as one of the classic Port Houses, producing port wines from the Douro region in Portugal. It was founded in 1815 by Robert Cockburn, planted with superior port grape varietals such as Touriga Nacional and Touriga Francesa, which brought the company great success in the 19th and 20th century. Many other families, that include the finest winemakers and Port tasters, had joined the Cockburn family to run the port company, with the latest addition being the Symington Family with generations of winemaking history.
The Special Reserve Port is one of the popular wines by Cockburn's, first created in 1969. Made with hand-picked quality grapes, the Special Reserve Port wine is aged in seasoned oak barrels which attributed to its characteristic balance and smoothness. Cockburn’s has also built a reputation for its fine Vintage Port, with at least 15 years of bottle ageing. Browse the range of wines by Cockburn’s in Singapore’s duty-free shopping.
