For the fourth year, Champagne Billecart-Salmon pays tribute to China’s long-standing history by seeking out the creative perspective of a Chinese artist to design a limited-edition gift box for the house’s iconic cuvée, Brut Rosé: Ms. Mingru Zhao, combining traditional Gongbi and Xieyi styles, delivers her artistic interpretation of the Dragon through a painting named “Yun Cong Long”.

“When tasting the Brut Rosé, what stood out to me was the elegance and finesse of this champagne”, Zhao shared. “This has inspired me to give pride of place to two divine symbolic elements of Chinese art that share the same qualities, dragons and clouds. In that way, I hope to express the House’s motto «Strive for excellence» through meticulous painting techniques fusing the Gongbi and Xieyi styles”.
