Established in 1985, Devil’s Lair Winery alludes to the Devil’s Lair cave that housed evidence of human occupation from 50,000 years back. Deeply moved, the founder, Phil Sexton, who was then an archaeology student, brought that moment back with him. Years later, he acquired land to form a winery which he later named after the cave. The cleared land that was used to turn into the Devil’s Lair vineyards provided a nutrient-rich soil that became the backbone of Devil’s Lair’s signature taste. With the help of Mother Nature, the expert team sets out to produce wines with delicate flavours and polished structure.
