SHERRY WINE SEASONING

Grapes are pressed into sherry, which seasons our oak casks for up to 24 months, infusing the wood and drawing out bitterness. This prepares the casks to shape the whisky’s rich flavour and natural colour.

NATURAL COLOUR

As the whisky ages in The Macallan's sherry seasoned oak casks, they take on a spectrum of natural hues and tones that deepen with age.
