Founded out of a love for local Singaporean cuisine by 3 Singaporean brothers, Snacky & Crisps was their solution to the lack of healthy yet traditional local snacks available in the market. Having always longed for “something to call their own”, it was in a family gathering in 2015 that they seriously thought of creating a recipe for salted egg snacks that would be superior to competitors through the use of premium, natural ingredients without added preservatives or MSG. Fast-forward to mid-2015, Snack’cy (initial name) was formed and after 6 months of trial and error, its first-ever packet of salted egg fish skin was sold—at a flea market.

While getting the public to try their product and finding a supplier for quality fish skin proved to be a challenge, they persevered and with the help of others, finally met with success. Today, the sweet and savoury salted egg treat has been a hit with countless Singaporeans. But Snacky hasn’t stopped there. Just this year, they’ve come up with laksa-flavoured potato chips for the cny season. You can expect the arrival of more local-cuisine inspired flavours in iShopChangi Singapore at duty-free rates soon as Snacky steps up on its R&D efforts.
