What is the difference between single malt & blended Scotch whiskies?
People are often surprised to learn that a single malt Scotch whisky is an assembly of various single casks from a single distillery.
The key difference between a single malt and a blended Scotch, is that a single malt, such as The Glenlivet, is produced at one distillery.
A blended Scotch, however, is a blend of many grain and malt whiskies selected from different distilleries across Scotland.
