Barolo, one among the most famous and appreciated Italian red wines, represents an excellence in oenology and so described as “the king of wines, the wine of kings”. It made by a single variety of grape called Nebbiolo, characterized by bunches rich in small blue grapes, with a great resistance and late ripening.
Nebbiolo is grown in the area called Langhe, a hilly land with limestone-clay soil, challenged by cold winter and hot summer, but blessed by a good ventilation that preserve plant from diseases.
An appealing ruby red color with garnet hints, an intense and long lasting aroma where cedar, plum, flowers and spices notes mix together to delight your palate. Tannin and acidity are well balanced and give long life to this wine. It goes particularly well with mushroom, truffle dishes, braised meat, goat, lamb, medium and long seasoned cheeses.
