Background:
Lightning Bolt Cabernet Sauvignon is only produced when a barrel is worthy enough of baring the name. Through constant tasting, Kent Jarman, formerly of Duckhorn, works his magic to monitor the evolution of each barrel in the cellar. To make it as Lightning Bolt, a barrel has to show perfect Cabernet Sauvignon varietal character and a mix of immediate pleasure and age-ability.
