The limited edition collection is an exclusive gathering of wines made with grapes from the cape’s top vineyards, made by the Nederburg winemaking team. Wines from this collection carry labels that are hand-written by the Nederburg cellar-master.
In the vineyard : The Grenache and Carignan grapes, hand-picked early in the morning, were sourced from vineyards situated at the Nederburg farm in Paarl. Planted in 2007, the vines are trellised on vertical systems, with sufficient sunlight penetrating into canopies. Both vineyards receive supplementary irrigation during the growing season.
In the cellar : The grapes were harvested by hand at 21º Balling in February. The clear juice was fermented dry in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for a period of two weeks at 15ºC. No skin contact was allowed.
