In the spirit of innovation and experimentation, Penfolds has created two new, limited-edition wines from the very best quality shiraz and cabernet sauvignon parcels, originally contenders for Penfolds flagships.
Carefully selected from the coveted 2018 South Australian vintage to create two unique interpretations of an iconic Australian blend.
Essentially two siblings, differently assembled and raised in different environments, 802-B was matured in American oak. Intriguing counterpoints.
The Superblend B shiraz and cabernet sauvignon components were aged separately in new American oak hogsheads for 22 months prior to being blended. The cabernet sauvignon makes its structural presence felt comprising 68% of the blend, while the 32% shiraz contribution adds generosity.
