Royal Salute was created to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 and was named after the 21 gun salute fired from the Tower of London for royal celebrations.
The Small Batch programme allows Royal Salute's Master blender, Sandy Hyslop, to release rare and exclusive cask finished whiskies which are part of his distillers reserve inventory. Sandy has meticulously attended to these rare casks and waited for the perfect moment when the cask have imparted the desired essence to these exquisite blends.
Batch 003 is a blended malt whisky featuring more than twenty one single malts drawn from the five whisky regions of Scotland. This has been finished for three years in first fill hogsheads which have previously held a ten year old Pedro Ximenez sherry.
