In 1898 the distillery founders secured their first precious shipment of sherry casks from the finest bodegas in Spain. Now over 100 years later, Tamdhu matures its whisky exclusively in the finest Oloroso sherry casks. Nothing less. One of Tamdhu’s finest and rarest Oloroso sherry casks, there are only 100 individually numbered bottles of 46- years-old single malt. This travel retail exclusive single cask bottling is presented in an individually hand-blown, cut crystal decanter and wood and brushed gold 8-sided octagonal box and leather carry case. Un-chilled-filtered and bottled at cask strength of 46.1% ABV. With every passing year, sherry oak casks magnify the flavour, intensity and character of our whisky. After 46 years, aromas of coconut and cola surface from soft sherry. Tropical fruits spiral with rich malt and warming spice. And citrus ripples with floral notes for a beautifully complex finish.
