Château Magnol is the heart of Barton & Guestier. Hosting the company’s headquarters, the Château is also a guesthouse and a wineschool, the B&G Food & Wine Academy, where we welcome our trade partners for a 1-week training program. Above all, Château Magnol is a vineyard located at the gates of the Médoc on the left bank of the Garonne river. The 30 hectares of vines benefit from a micro-climate thanks to the proximity of the ocean and the estuary. The soil consists of gravel and sand and the plantation proportions stand to 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot,12% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. The average age of the vines is 22 years. After
traditional vinification, we age the wine in 350-ltr oak barrels (30% new) for 12 months for a smooth exchange between oak and wine, bringing a distinctive finesse and elegance, typical of Château Magnol.

Harmonious, well-balanced and full-bodied, fine and elegant tannins. The aftertaste is rich and savory with fruity and spicy flavors delivering a vanilla and licorice length.
Expressive, rich and complex nose with a solid core of black berries (blackcurrant, black cherry), spices and wild sage framed by a menthol tone.
