Born in Bordeaux in 1936, Bernard Magrez is a self-taught wine magnate who built an empire, becoming the only owner of four Classified Grands Crus in Bordeaux. Starting in spirits in 1961, he shifted focus in the 1980s to high-end wine, acquiring prestigious estates like Château Pape Clément, Fombrauge, and La Tour Carnet. His portfolio now includes over 40 estates globally, known for combining traditional terroir with modern, technological innovation.
