The ultimate Double Barrel expression - rare 1966 single malt Scotch Whisky barrel is used 50 years later to finish an outstanding single vineyard fine wine. Single vineyard 2016 Barossa Shiraz hand selected from blocks A & B of the Lyndoch vineyard at the Southern end of the Barossa. The wine had a prolonged maturation period of 19 months in traditional French & American oak. Finishing of the wine in an extremely rare Scotch Whisky barrel which once aged a rare 50 year old single malt Scotch Whisky. The extra old single malt barrel imparts a more robust oak character and greater smoky notes on the wine it holds.
