Bottled from incredibly rare casks filled during some of the Distillery's darkest days, this is the oldest whisky to join our core range. A pungent burst of smoked cream, peppermint and toffee, followed by Ardbeg's classic fennel and pine resin. Distant earthy bonfires meld with herbal tones and tropical notes of banana, along with fragrant candle wax.Peppery mouthfeel leads into bursts of sherbet lemon and sweet candied apples, pears and oranges. Bold notes of carbolic soap and tar flow into creamy toffee, aniseed and chilli pepper. A long, mellow, lingering after taste, with lots of cream, fudge and delicate antiseptic notes.
