FRANCE - BORDEAUX - AOC BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR

Cilorn is based on a Celtic legend about the story of the fairy Viviane who tamed a so-named dragon. Thus relieved, the dragon Cilorn has become the tireless guardian of the Avalon mysterious island. Even now inside the monolithic church of Saint-Emilion, there is a beautiful atypical sculpture of Celtic inspiration «Le Chemin des Allegories» representing a dragon taming. The dragon means the strength of impulses and passions that human being has to control smoothly to advance. We gave this name to our wine produced from the rearranged and controlled vines of our Bordeaux Supérieur vineyard planted on a sandy silty plateau located on the hills on the eastern side of the Estate. François and Maria-Dolorès Linard acquired the vines and the cellar in 2001.

The vintage is remarkable in Bordeaux, both in terms of quality and quantity, with fruity and concentrated wines, round tannins and pronounced colors.
After a complicated year with some mildew attacks during spring and a very dry summer, rains at the beginning of September and a beautiful Indian summer during the harvest allowed grapes to reach a generous yield and perfect maturity.

Traditional vinification in vats with thermoregulation to optimize fermentation and maceration.
Ageing in tank during 12 months.
Reasonned culture HVE.
Surface area: 8 Ha.
Soils: sandy silty plateau.
100% Merlot.

Colour: intense and beautiful ruby with purple tints.
Nose: fruity marked by notes of morello cherries and blackcurrant.
Palate: attack is delicate and full of finesse with a round body.
Finish: finesse with acidulous note.
