FRANCE - BORDEAUX - AOC SAINT EMILION GRAND CRU

This property, located at Bragard, in the north of Saint-Emilion appellation, has been purchased by the de Gaye Family in 2015.
With Château Grand Corbin Manuel (located at 200 meters from Haut Cadet) it represents 26 hectares under production into the appellation Grand Cru of Saint Emilion. 55% of these 26 hectares are dedicated to produce Château Haut Cadet.

Marked by mild temperatures and low rainfall throughout the winter, up to the month of April, allowing a harmonious budbreak across the vine. The summer season got off to a great start, concentrating the flowering period over the first two weeks of June. A very hot start to July caused water stress which led to early veraison and nicely concentrated fruit. A small amount of rainfall in August marked the beginning of an early, homogeneous ripening period.

Vinification in thermoregulated stainless steel vats- 80 to 125 hl - Cold maceration for 3 days.
French oak barrels (100%) from 16 to 18 months.
New barrels 40 %, 1-wine barrel and more 60%.
19 hectares area.
Sandy-clay soils with blue clays.
82 % Merlot.
13 % Cabernet Franc.
5 % Cabernet Sauvignon.
