From the historic Frescobaldi family comes one of the most recognizable Brunello di Montalcino red wines in the world. This classic Italian red wine is a staple in any wine collection.
Balanced and full of character, Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino is the result of a rigorous selection of solely Sangiovese grapes, where all the characteristics necessary for enhancing this ancient vine variety are scrupulously adhered to. CastelGiocondo has an intense, bright ruby-red colour with it a wonderfully elegant quality. The bouquet features fruity aromas of raspberry, blackcurrant and even pomegranate with hints of violet, rose, white pepper, clove and star anise. On the palate, the tannic structure is dense and the mineral quality is wonderful. This is an incredibly harmonious wine with a long, persistent finish.
The spirit of Montalcino
CastelGiocondo’s unique location in Montalcino, with its varied exposure and terrain – galestro, clay and Pleocene sands – offers infinite nuances to this Brunello. A multi-faceted experience that evolves over time and entices us to discover, taste and remember, again and again. The ideal altitude, excellent solar exposure and well-drained soils enhance the wines of CastelGiocondo which are distinguished for their potency and extraordinary longevity.
